India
A cricket-crazy nation and the powerhouse of IFCR, hosting multiple World Festivals.
India has been a cricket-loving, cricket-crazy country for generations. IFCR India was constituted as a country unit for the first time in 2009, and has hosted World Festivals at Chennai (1999), Vapi and Chennai again (2024).
Rtn. KRP Sarathy from RID 3150 Hyderabad, with active support from Rtn. 'Kittu' of RID 3230 Chennai, dreamt big to launch a properly structured country body for IFCR in India, motivated by the wonderfully organised 5th IFCR World Cricket Festival in Colombo in 2007.
IFCR Chennai — Friendship League
IFCR Chennai unites Rotarians across the city through cricket. Its flagship Friendship League fields twelve club teams over a full season of weekend matches, knockouts and fellowship tours — with live scorecards, league tables and player statistics published online.
Membership is open to all Rotarians, Rotaractors and their families in Chennai. A subscription covers league entry, match fees, the fellowship dinner and a personal digital player profile — operating under Rotary International's charter for cricketing Rotarians worldwide.
