India has been a cricket-loving, cricket-crazy country for generations. IFCR India was constituted as a country unit for the first time in 2009, and has hosted World Festivals at Chennai (1999), Vapi and Chennai again (2024).
Rtn. KRP Sarathy from RID 3150 Hyderabad, with active support from Rtn. 'Kittu' of RID 3230 Chennai, dreamt big to launch a properly structured country body for IFCR in India, motivated by the wonderfully organised 5th IFCR World Cricket Festival in Colombo in 2007.
